Bacon Roses

Ingredients

• Sliced Mangalitsa bacon
• wooden toothpicks
• a rimmed baking sheet with an oven-safe rack

Method

1. Heat the oven to 375°F. Roll each bacon slice into a loose spiral and secure the base with toothpicks.
2. Stand the spirals on the rack over the rimmed sheet. Bake until the bacon is fully cooked; timing depends on thickness. Check regularly and follow the package directions.
3. Cool enough to handle, then remove every toothpick before serving. Arrange on a food-safe platter.
