How To Cook A Mangalitsa Estates Ham

Ingredient and serving inspiration. Your finished dish will vary.
Ingredients
- Your chosen ham
- a little water or stock
- an optional glaze of 2 tablespoons each Dijon mustard and maple syrup
Method
- Thaw in the refrigerator and read the label to determine whether the ham is raw or fully cooked.
- Heat the oven to 325°F. Place ham in a roasting pan with a little liquid and cover.
- For fully cooked ham from a USDA-inspected plant, reheat to 140°F. Other cooked ham and leftovers need 165°F. Raw fresh ham needs 145°F and a 3-minute rest.
- If glazing, uncover near the end, brush with glaze, and watch carefully to avoid burning. Slice after resting.
